The Currumbin Valley Environmental
Education Centre is a Queensland
Department of Education residential facility and a campus of the Tallebudgera
Outdoor and Environmental Education Centre, located in the beautiful Currumbin
Valley.
We offer a range of
residential and day outdoor learning programs for students from Prep to Year 12, including students with special needs, and those
visiting from interstate and overseas. Our experienced teaching staff deliver
high-quality, student-centred programs that are aligned with the Australian and
Queensland Curriculum Frameworks and the goals of the Mparntwe Education
Declaration.
Learning at Currumbin
Valley EEC is grounded in direct experiences with the natural environment, encouraging curiosity, connection, and a deeper
understanding of sustainability and our place within the natural world. All programs are aligned to Australian and Queensland curriculum and programs offered focus on learning in outdoor settings through direct experiences with the natural environment.
Our 3.157-hectare
(7.8-acre) site features comfortable cabin accommodation, a 100-seat dining
room, a freshwater creek, remnant rainforest areas, vibrant gardens, and
adventure-based activity spaces - all designed to support engaging
and memorable outdoor learning experiences.
Our mission is
simple: to create
positive change in the lives of young people across Queensland through meaningful, nature-based education.
